Who wrote this page
This page is written by Rewardfinity. We sell one of the two products on it, and you should read it with that in mind.
Rather than claim neutrality, we have named the places where Loopy Loyalty is the better answer, including the one likely to decide it for most shops. Their details come from public pages and can change without us noticing, so check their site before committing.
What each product is built around
Loopy Loyalty is built around one object: a stamp card delivered as a wallet pass. Staff add stamps with a companion app that scans the customer's pass. The customer installs nothing, because the pass sits in the wallet app their phone already has.
Focus is an advantage: fewer decisions, less configuration, a shorter path from signup to a working card. If a stamp card is the whole program, breadth is not a feature but a settings screen.
Rewardfinity assumes most small shops change their program within a year. Stamp cards ship, with threshold, stamps per purchase, minimum spend, five milestones and remainder carry, but they sit alongside points, tiers, referrals, promo codes, spin-to-win and raffles. If you are still choosing between mechanics, our guide on points versus stamp cards works through it without either vendor.
Side by side
Model and scope only.
| Dimension | Rewardfinity | Loopy Loyalty |
|---|---|---|
| Product scope | Multi-mechanic loyalty platform; stamps are one option | Stamp and coupon wallet passes; a deliberate specialist |
| Stamp cards | Threshold, per-purchase count, minimum spend, five milestones, remainder carry; count editable on a live card | Core of the product; deeper card design control |
| Points, tiers, referrals | Points with rate, rounding and caps; 1–10× tier multipliers; double-sided referrals | Not part of the product as described publicly |
| Wallet passes | Google Wallet is a configured path; Apple Wallet remains in activation testing with public launch dark pending the physical canary; the member page and PWA work without either | Default delivery route; the pass is the product |
| Member messaging | Consent-based provider paths: Resend for email or Twilio for SMS/WhatsApp when enabled; callbacks distinguish provider acceptance from delivery for Resend and Twilio only, while web push records permission and gateway response | Push straight to the wallet pass — their flagship |
| Staff incentives | Per-staff attribution plus a staff spin wheel with an owner-set allowance | Staff app for stamping; no staff reward mechanic |
| Pricing model | Free tier, then Grow and Scale, indexed to local purchasing power | Subscription tiers; check their pricing page |
Where Loopy Loyalty is ahead
Wallet-native member messaging. This is the big one, and it is not close. Loopy Loyalty pushes a message to the pass in a member's wallet: no app install, no email deliverability to manage, no per-message SMS cost. Rewardfinity can queue a merchant-composed, consented email through Resend or SMS/WhatsApp through Twilio when the operator-enabled provider path is ready, and web push reaches members who granted permission. Resend and Twilio callbacks distinguish provider acceptance from delivery; web push records permission and gateway response. Those paths are not wallet push. If wallet-native scheduled reach is why you are buying loyalty software, Loopy's advantage should settle this comparison.
The card designer. Theirs is deeper. The pass face is the entire customer-facing surface of their product, so they have put more control into imagery, layout and the fields shown front and back. If the card matters as a brand object, that difference shows.
Wallet delivery is their starting point, not a setup step. In Rewardfinity, Google Wallet is a configured path, while Apple Wallet remains in activation testing and public launch stays dark pending the required physical canary. Loopy Loyalty begins with wallet delivery, one fewer thing that can stall a launch.
Where Rewardfinity differs
Stamps as one mechanic
A stamp card is a starting point, not the product. When a fixed milestone stops working, you can move to points, add a tier multiplier, run a referral or put a spin wheel at the counter without changing vendor, all under one program surface and one member record.
Editable live cards
The stamp count on a running card can be changed: a nine-stamp card nobody finishes can become a seven-stamp card without discarding progress. Publish the change before the first affected transaction, because moving a goalpost quietly costs trust.
A staff-facing surface
Counter actions are attributed to the staff member who performed them and convert into a staff spin wheel with an owner-set allowance.Plenty of tools suggest running a staff signup competition; far fewer ship the per-person attribution you would need to run one, which is why most of these end up tracked on a whiteboard. See staff devices. Staff gift cards are Coming Soon.
Where transactions come from
Square is native, the Shopify app is live and approved, and Clover, Lightspeed, Loyverse, Zettle and Vend connect through Zapier. A REST API with HMAC-signed webhooks ships too.
Two pricing models
We are not going to print their prices. Vendor pricing changes and comparison pages go stale, so a months-old competitor number misleads while looking authoritative. Read their pricing page and compare models instead.
Loopy Loyalty prices as a tiered subscription quoted in one currency for everyone. Rewardfinity has a free tier — 100 members, points plus one stamp card, one QR campaign — then Grow and Scale, with plan prices indexed to local purchasing power across 36 countries: US $29, Canada CA$39, UK £24, Australia A$45, India ₹499, Nigeria ₦9,900. In the US the difference is small. Elsewhere it can be the whole decision.
Costing software against the reward
Assumptions: a plan at 29 a month in your currency, and a reward costing you 1.50 to fulfil.
Arithmetic: 29 ÷ 1.50 ≈ 19, so the software costs about what nineteen redeemed rewards cost. Run that division on any vendor's price.
How to choose
- You need wallet-native messages without configuring a separate email or SMS provider — Loopy Loyalty, on wallet push alone.
- A stamp card is the whole program and you want it live this week — the narrower product is faster.
- You expect points, tiers or referrals within the year — Rewardfinity keeps that a setting, not a migration.
- You want staff rewarded for signups, not told to ask — few tools ship a mechanic for that.
- You price in a currency where US-denominated software is expensive — check your own economy's price first.
If neither column decides it, run the free tier for a month against a real counter. Staff behaviour tells you more than any comparison table, this one included.
Questions people ask
What is the best Loopy Loyalty alternative?
It depends why you are leaving. If the stamp card works but you want points, tiers, referrals or staff incentives in one tool, a broader platform such as Rewardfinity fits. If wallet push messaging is why you signed up, most alternatives, ours included, are a step down there.
Does Rewardfinity send push notifications to wallet passes?
No public wallet-pass push. Rewardfinity can queue consented email through Resend or SMS/WhatsApp through Twilio when the operator-enabled provider path is ready, while web push uses the hosted member page and member permission. Resend and Twilio callbacks distinguish acceptance from delivery; web push records permission and gateway response. Loopy Loyalty's wallet-native push remains its clearest advantage.
Can I move my existing stamp cards from Loopy Loyalty?
There is no direct import between the two products. Rewardfinity ships CSV import, so member records and a starting stamp balance can be carried across as a file. Because the stamp count is editable on a live card, a short list can be set by hand. Publish the conversion rule first.
Is Rewardfinity cheaper than Loopy Loyalty?
That depends on your country, and we will not quote their current prices. Rewardfinity has a free tier covering 100 members with points and one stamp card, then paid plans priced to local purchasing power across 36 countries. In the US the two sit closer than they do in India.
Do customers need to download an app to use Rewardfinity?
No. Members use a hosted page that opens in any browser and can be installed as a progressive web app for the home screen. Loopy Loyalty gets to the same outcome differently, putting the card in the wallet app already on the phone. In Rewardfinity, Google Wallet is a configured path; Apple Wallet public launch remains dark pending the physical canary.
Which is better for a single coffee shop?
For one café running one stamp card and nothing else, the specialist is a reasonable default: less to set up, and wallet push gives you a way to bring people back on a quiet Tuesday. Rewardfinity earns its place when the program grows past stamps or several staff work the counter.
Test both against a real counter.
The free tier runs a stamp card for 100 members — enough to compare staff workflow, not feature lists.
