This page is written by Rewardfinity
We make one of the two products here, so read it with that in mind. We have not run a paying Stamp Me account; everything about them comes from their public materials and can go stale the moment they ship something. Where we are unsure, the page says so.
We also do not reprint their prices — pricing pages change, and a stale competitor number is worse than none.
Three things they do better:
- Longevity. Their own materials describe years of running digital stamp cards, and a product that old has had its edges worn down by real counters.
- Deliberate narrowness. They do stamp cards, not a marketing suite. If a stamp card is the entire job, fewer options is a feature.
- A published free tier. Their site describes a free plan for a basic card. Check what it currently includes.
More product is not automatically better. If you want a card, a QR code and nothing else this quarter, the simpler tool is the right tool.
Where the two products differ
The Stamp Me column is our reading of their public materials, not a quote. Verify anything that would change your decision.
| Dimension | Stamp Me (public materials) | Rewardfinity |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | A focused digital stamp-card platform | Stamp cards, points, tiers, referrals, promo codes, QR campaigns, raffles, spin-to-win |
| Stamp cards | Core product: build a card, share a QR, customers scan | Threshold, stamps per purchase, minimum spend, up to five milestones, remainder carried forward |
| Other mechanics | Not the product's focus; check their site | Points with rate, rounding, minimums, per-order caps; tiers with 1–10× multipliers; double-sided referrals |
| Ecommerce | Confirm current support with them directly | Live, approved Shopify app; Square natively in store; Clover, Lightspeed, Loyverse, Zettle, Vend via Zapier |
| Staff incentives | Not a capability they lead with | Counter actions attributed per staff member, feeding a staff spin wheel with an owner-set allowance |
| API | Not a capability they lead with; ask if you need one | Public REST API, idempotent writes, HMAC-signed webhooks |
| Pricing model | Published tiers including a free plan; check their pricing page | Free tier, then Grow and Scale, indexed to local purchasing power in 36 countries |
If you only compare the stamp card
For a plain ten-stamp coffee card, the two feel similar at the counter. Customer scans, count goes up, tenth one is free. Nobody switches platforms over that.
The differences sit at the edges, where staff improvise. Rewardfinity's card sets the required count, stamps per qualifying purchase, a minimum spend, and up to five milestones, so a customer can get something at four as well as ten. Cross the threshold and the remainder carries into the next card rather than evaporating.
Whether that matters depends on your menu. One drink at one price needs no minimum-spend rule; a counter taking a bottle of water and a full lunch does. Our piece on choosing between points and stamp cards names no vendors and is the better start if the mechanic is still open.
What Rewardfinity adds
More than one way to reward
Points with rounding rules and per-order caps, refund clawback at the purchase-time rate, tiers that multiply earn, double-sided referrals, promo codes, raffles, punch-down cards, and QR campaigns with single-use codes, budget caps and a kill switch. Two caveats worth stating: gift-card payouts stay pending rather than fulfilling automatically, and only Google Wallet is a configured path; Apple Wallet public launch remains dark pending its physical canary.
The staff side of the counter
Counter actions are attributed to the staff member who performed them, and that feeds a staff-facing spin wheel with an owner-set allowance.Plenty of tools suggest running a staff signup competition; far fewer ship the per-person attribution you would need to run one, which is why most of these end up tracked on a whiteboard. The staff device setup matters if signups depend on whoever happens to care.
If you sell online, the Shopify app is live and approved, so a web order and a counter purchase land on one member record. For wiring loyalty into software you already run, the public API uses idempotent writes — a retry after a timeout will not stamp the same customer twice — with HMAC-signed webhooks outbound.
How the two price differently
Rewardfinity's free tier covers 100 members, points plus one stamp card, one QR campaign. Grow removes the member cap and opens all loyalty types, unlimited QR campaigns, spin, referrals, Shopify and CSV import. Scale adds multi-location, brand channel campaigns, staff roles with an audit log, and priority support.
What differs structurally is indexing. Rewardfinity prices to local purchasing power across 36 countries, so a shop billing in rupees or naira is not handed a San Francisco number at spot rate. There is no single global sticker — the pricing page shows your economy's price.
Stamp Me publishes its own tiers, and at the time of writing their site described a free plan. We will not put their figures in our table, because we cannot promise they stay right next quarter. Open both pages before deciding.
When to switch, and when not to
Reasons to stay put:
- A single stamp card is the whole program and you have no plan to add a second mechanic.
- Your card is live, staff know the script, and customers have progress on it. Migration has a real cost.
- You do not sell online, need no per-staff attribution, and will never call an API.
Reasons a switch is worth costing out:
- You want points and stamps side by side, or a tier that multiplies what regulars earn.
- You sell on Shopify and want one balance across the till and the storefront.
- You want to reward the staff member who signs people up, not only the customer.
- You need to write to the ledger from your own software without double-counting on a retry.
- You bill in a currency where a US-indexed subscription costs more of your revenue than it looks.
If you move, treat existing progress as real value. Decide how partial cards convert before touching anything, publish that decision, and record it as an auditable adjustment.
Questions people ask before switching
What is the best Stamp Me alternative?
There is no single best one, and this answer is written by Rewardfinity, so weigh it accordingly. If a plain digital stamp card is all you want, most alternatives are a sideways move. Rewardfinity fits when you want stamps plus points, tiers, referrals, staff incentives or an API in one account.
Is Rewardfinity cheaper than Stamp Me?
We will not answer that with their numbers, because competitor prices on a comparison page go stale within a quarter. Compare the models instead. Rewardfinity has a free tier, then Grow and Scale, indexed to local purchasing power across 36 countries, so the figure depends on where you bill.
Can I move my existing stamp card customers to another platform?
Usually yes, if you can export them. Ask your current provider for a customer export and check what it contains — a phone number or email plus the current stamp count is the minimum useful shape. Rewardfinity imports by CSV. Decide how partial progress converts before importing.
Does Rewardfinity work with Shopify?
Yes. Rewardfinity has a live, approved Shopify app, so online orders earn into the same member record as counter purchases. In store it works natively with Square, and with Clover, Lightspeed, Loyverse, Zettle and Vend through Zapier webhooks. Confirm your till model before promising one balance across both channels.
Do I actually need more than a stamp card?
Often not. A stamp card is the easiest mechanic to explain and the easiest for staff to run, and a program nobody understands is worse than a simple one. The usual reasons to add a second mechanic are baskets that vary a lot, a second sales channel, or referrals.
Does Rewardfinity have an API for stamps and points?
Yes. There is a public REST API with idempotent writes, so retrying a failed request will not stamp a customer twice, and outbound webhooks are HMAC-signed so your endpoint can verify the sender. That matters if you are wiring loyalty into your own till software or a kiosk.
Test the card before you migrate the customers.
Run one stamp card on the free tier with a controlled transaction, then decide whether the rest earns its place.
